The role of a watchmen is to have perceptive spiritual eyes through intimacy and prayer. They observe the signs of the times and convey God’s Message to HIS PEOPLE, and to those that have not yet been born again. The message can be one of hope and encouragement or one of God’s coming Judgement. As with Prophets of Old, God’s Watchmen today are burdened by what they see and they stay close to God in intimacy to get HIS Heartbeat and Words to the people. This role of a watchman is to convey TRUTH despite opposition from the world and even the apostate end-time Church. Watchmen observe the signs pointing to the soon return of Christ, and encourage believers to be ready. “Therefore be alert, be prepared and be ready for you do not know the day nor the hour when The Son of Man will come.” Matthew 25:13. “Look, I will come as unexpectedly as a thief! Blessed all who are watching for Me, who keep their clothing ready so they will not have to walk around naked and ashamed.” Revelation 16:15. So End-time watchmen give a warning to believers who are absorbed with worldly things rather than the matters of THE KINGDOM. The Watchmen know and understand by The Spirit of God that time is closing in. We have but a Window of time. Now No one knows the day nor the hour, but those that are in tune with their Lord have perception to know the time is drawing nigh. They warn from God’s Holy Word, “Be sober minded, be alert. Your adversary the devil is prowling around like a roaring lion, looking for anyone he can devour.” 1 Peter5:8. The Watchmen should challenge wrong laws, wrong morality, wrong Church teaching, and wrong leaders through prayer and God’s Instructions in strategic interventions. A true watchmen will never conflict with God’s Word, But with fear and trembling, and humility present God’s Word and live out God’s Word. Every Apprentice/Follower of Christ can be a watchman when they are moved by Holy Spirit. The ones that are wholeheartedly surrendered to The Lord will walk in The Holy Spirit and will not carry out the desires of the flesh, Galatians 5:16. These that follow Jesus will walk in love according to 2 John 6. These that The Lord uses are People of Faith. They walk by Faith and not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7. Disciples/Watchmen walk in The Fear of The Lord. Proverbs 19:23. Watchmen walk in wisdom, “The one who trusts in himself is a fool, but one who walks in wisdom will be safe.” Proverbs 28:26. The Lord is calling forth Disciples/Watchmen that will indeed encourage and warn. It is a balanced message. These Watchmen walk in humility and do nothing out of selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility consider others as more important than themselves. Matthew 18:4. These that The Lord calls walk in generosity, walk prayerfully and walk in alertness. Do you represent HIM well as salt and light in this dark world? A true watchman in this hour in which we live are living out on purpose their Royal Employment. The Apostle Paul says it well in Acts 20:24, “ But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by The Lord Jesus, the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful Grace of God.” Paul goes on to say, “If anyone suffers eternal death, it’s not my fault, for I didn’t shrink from declaring all that God wants you to know.” Acts 20:26-27. WISE WATCHMEN WARN. Are you holding back Son/Daughter of God? Are there those in your midst that you know clearly through prayer and deep grief of your heart that you must warn and also encourage in a life that is wholeheartedly given to The Lord? Time is running out. We have but a window of time. This year has progressed rapidly. We are already half way into this 2022. Much has transpired positively with the Righteous Overturning of evil laws. We do rejoice!! Glory to God regarding the 50 year old Roe vs Wade legislation against the unborn being overturned!! States will have to decide now instead of The Federal Government. May God help the Authorities in each State to do WISELY!! Pray!!! Many are protesting and calling good evil. Souls are lying in the balance. Will you through being Alert by Prayer, Humility, Generosity, Love, The Fear of The Lord, Faith, and walking in The Holy Spirit be A WISE WATCHMAN? Will you be able to say like The Apostle Paul said, “I did not shrink back from declaring to you the whole counsel of God,” Acts 20:27.
