Texas and National Drug Rehab Program - Christian Rehabilitation Center

"...when I became a man I put away childish things" - I Cor. 13:11

The unfortunate reality of today's world is that many men are reaching adulthood without having reached maturity. There is now a generation of men struggling to cope with life and decisions that go along with it. Walking in fear and out of fellowship with God, they are easily turned to illusionary comforts of medicating themselves through substances and destructive relationships.  These things are self-reinforcing because they cause pain and thereby increase the need for comfort and coping. This has been one of the most effective strategies of the enemy toward men and women

Everyday, countless people are walking into this destructive cycle. But Praise God, everyday others are walking out. When the desperateness of their situation is revealed to them and they look for  freedom, who will help them?  Jesus Christ! He will set you free (John 8:36).

Shiloh Ministries is a member of the Body of Christ which is the Church. The community that we are, is the Church reaching out to those in bondage to addictions. Our ministry has an anointing from God to reconcile the sinner back to Him so restoration can begin. Shiloh Ministries is a one year Residential Christian Bible program in Liberty, Texas. Our ministry was established in 2000 by Rocky & Debbie Fondren for men 18 years and older who are enslaved to drugs/alcohol or other types of abusive lifestyles. Shiloh Ministries is free of monetary charges to all who desire freedom from their addictions.

The word "Shiloh" is a prophetic old testament name of Christ ("Messiah"-Gen 49:10). *Meaning, "TO WHOM DOMINION BELONGS". Jesus Christ is our Savior, Lord & King! He has come and restored man back to his rightful place, being "Whole" and in fellowship with The Heavenly Father. He has defeated the devil by the work of the Cross (Col. 2:15). But first you must receive Him as Savior (Rom.10:9-10) and allow the Holy Spirit to empower you (Acts 1:8).

Divine Nature or sinful nature?: Romans 8:5-9, “Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please God. So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Holy Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace (Divine Nature). For the sinful nature is always hostile to God. It never did obey God’s laws, and it never will. That’s why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God. But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Holy Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you."

"Duped To Dope"

There is a great deception in Society and even in the Church about drinking alcohol, smoking marijuana, pain med's and ant-depressants, etc......The word "Duped" (*easily deceived, a fool) is satan’s greatest strategy against humanity. If a person is "duped" (deceived), he can never experience Truth that illuminates to  liberate. John 8:32 say’s, “you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” Truth is meant to be experienced. One only needs to observe the past twenty years to see how skillful satan has been in lulling (*causing someone to fall asleep) Society and the Church into a lullaby of compromise. It comes as no surprise for our society and our government to be duped, but for the Church, it is heresy.

The Apostle Paul writes in Ephesians 3:10, “God’s purpose in all this was to use the church to display His wisdom in its rich variety to all the unseen rulers and authorities in the heavenly places.” The Apostle was anointed with The Holy Spirit when he penned the prophetic picture of the Church demonstrating strategic insight into  the schemes of  satan and the fallen angels. The purpose of the revelation was for the Church to impose the victory won at Calvary (Col. 2:15). These rulers and authorities (fallen angels) have been strategically assigned by satan to deceive the nations to bring them into bondage (Rev. 18:23).  The Church is given The Gifts of the Holy Spirit to frustrate and to punish the demonic realm. Praise God there are Light Houses (Churches) who attract the sinner to come and be reconciled to God so restoration can begin. These Churches are training people to love, heal and deliver like Jesus did (Jn. 14:12), but there must be a great awakening so the entire Body of Christ will come together to reap the great soul Harvest. He said to his disciples, “The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields,” Matthew 9:37-38.

In 24 years of ministry I have observed our Society regress into a cesspool of iniquity. I have also observed how the Church responds. The majority does little to confront the Strongman behind the schemes that deceive in order to destroy. It is then left to the few to confront the hoards of hell riding the wave of iniquity to drown humanity in sin. This is what the enemy intends to do is to divide the Church in order to minimize our effectiveness. The Church has to regain its effectiveness, like it had in the book of Acts. “Yet more and more people believed and were brought to the Lord—crowds of both men and women. As a result of the apostles’ work, sick people were brought out into the streets on beds and mats so that Peter’s shadow might fall across some of them as he went by. Crowds came from the villages around Jerusalem, bringing their sick and those possessed by evil spirits, and they were all healed,” Acts 5:14-16.

The Church is responsible for the welfare of the people. It is through the Anointed Teaching of The Word of God that the hearer develops faith to heal (Rom. 10:17, Ps. 107:20, Prov. 4:20-22). I am a witness of the transforming power of God’s Word. Early in my childhood, fear with anxieties became a part of my emotions. Later in my teenage years I experimented with illegal drugs during the Hippie movement. That culture was using rebellion as an excuse to use drugs. I used drugs to medicate myself, and it was in this drug culture that I hid all my insecurities. Little did I know that later on in life  I would reap the devastating effects of its design. It was God’s Mercy that drew me out and then exposed the schemes of the devil to destroy. The word pharmacy comes from the Greek word *pharmakeia. Its meaning is sorcery; synonyms include, *enchantment, witchcraft, mojo, necromancy (*conversations with the dead). Interesting to know the devil uses his wizardry to cast his spells upon the ignorant (*lacking knowledge). Only God can save us from a superior intelligence, who uses psychological warfare to enslave its victim. (*I do endorse doctors prescribing medicine for it’s proper uses to bring healing & ease suffering and pain. I’m just informing the readers of how satan uses it for his advantage to numb the senses in order to deceive)

I along with many others have been set free and delivered from the bondage of addictions. I know this to be true, experience is a great qualifier to teach. Here is instructions to all that are affected. “Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the LORD and turn away from evil. Then you will have healing for your body and strength for your bones,” Proverbs 3:5-8. With our great salvation comes the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. We have been given the most powerful Person in all the heavens and on the earth, “The Third Person of The God Head.” He brings us new life thru regeneration (*born from above). He also reveals the Holy Scriptures to us in order for us to prosper in every area of our lives (Is. 55:10-11, Jn. 14:26). The Holy Spirit is available to every believer to transform us into a powerful entity which is His Church. We no longer have to be slaves to any sin or be seduced into medicating our senses. The Lord has given us a Cup to drink from that satisfies the thirsty soul, because of the pilgrimage of life. He is The Holy Spirit, who is The Fountain of Life. With joy you will drink deeply from the fountain of salvation! Isaiah 12:3.

At Shiloh we are prepared to receive men that are enslaved to substance abuse. It is our hope that these men who come into this wonderful environment of love and discipline will submit themselves to God's transforming Grace. Our staff works diligently to provide an atmosphere where clearly-defined expectations are tempered with nurturing love. We insist that our students put away the childish things that make for irresponsible and rebellious behavior and, by instruction in righteousness, help them to walk through life in the power and dominion they have been given as a new man in Christ (2Cor.5:17).
