First Step to Admission

1st Step to Admission

Shiloh Ministries house men, ages 18 years old & up. They come from all over the United States. Residents come into the program by word of mouth, referral from other programs & Shiloh's Web Site. The Lord’s Ministry at Shiloh is "free" to all who desire freedom from addictions. We do encourage family & friends of the potential student to pray about becoming a monthly financial supporter of Shiloh Ministries. Finances to meet our expenditures require faith in God, but money comes and generosity is expressed through grateful people.

One of the primary things that we desire to hear from a man requesting entrance into Shiloh Ministries is brokenness and humility. The man must recognize if he does not seek change, he will eventually die from the consequences of his addiction. Prior to telephone contact, you must read Student Hand Book on our Website link to be informed about our Community Guidelines. All applicants must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for Admission. Applicants must be physically able and mentally stable to participate in Chapel services, bible classes, work duties and living situations.

In the event of bed un-availability, applicants should contact our office every week or two to determine Program bed availability. We have a policy in place that no person will be admitted to the program that is currently taking anti-depressive or psychotropic medications or any form of narcotics. If you are on any of these medications, we require that you detox & maintenance off these med's before entrance into Shiloh Ministries. All over-counter medication will be dispenced by Shiloh Ministries. All applicants "must inform" Shiloh Ministries of all outstanding legal matters and court dates prior to entry. We do work with the Courts to assist them in your rehabilitation. You must however get permission from the Courts to come to our one year Residential Program. The civil Courts "must" release you for the year. Our policy is  "no" Court appearances during your year here.

Marriage Policy: All potential Students who say they are married, must submit a copy of a State Authorized Certificate of Marriage Document to Shiloh Ministries Office before any communication by phone or by mail can be authorized. Go to Student Handbook Link for more info on interactions with family & non-family.

If you can comply with our residential guidelines please contact us. To be admitted a candidate must first contact our office by phone  at 936/334/8616 between the hours of 9:30 am – 12 pm & 1:30 pm – 4:30 pm Monday thru Friday CST. The potential student will be interviewed by the Staff and asked important questions concerning his desire to be helped. Individuals must commit to a 12 month residential program. Prior to entrance into Shiloh Ministries all potential students must have blood work performed. Shiloh Ministries requires the following Blood Work; HIV, Hepatitis AB&C, TB skin Test. Most results take about 24 to 36 hrs. Results are then e-mailed: shilohlibertytx@gmail.com. Please make sure all results are completed and then contact office so we can instruct you in the entry phase. The program is intensive and spiritually rewarding. The commitment that a man makes to stay the full year will transform him into a man of integrity that loves God. Thank you for your interest in Shiloh Ministries.
