As we review the position of a Father, & the seriousness of having been given that position & assignment by The HEAVENLY FATHER…. Well….It is indeed a weighty matter. Father’s have upon them a God ordained assignment. If this Divinely Orchestrated Leadership Position is yielded to, & embraced with humility & wisdom from above it produces what God had intended. When this assignment is carried out under The Leadership & empowerment of Holy Spirit, it can literally impact children & future generations throughout all of eternity. It has been said, “The One that rocks the cradle, rules the world.” This quote is speaking of a Mother & her impact upon her children. Yes and Amen, a Mother also has a Divinely appointed position to say the least….BUT THE FATHER’s.. now we are reflecting upon them. This is a weighty position & indeed it is Divinely designed by God Almighty. No one can fulfill a Father’s position. Single Mother’s try hard & some do outstanding in all their efforts, yet there remains incredible lack when Father’s are not stewarding this powerful assignment. Our society is suffering greatly due to the lack of an on going of Fatherless Generations. This malady is not something that just abruptly has come upon the scene. Father’s not embracing the Divine Design has been rapidly increasing for years. Children and youth are suffering, Mother’s are suffering, communities, jobs, cities, and the nation is in lack, in confusion, pain, wounds, fear, inferiority, & deception. This is largely due to Father’s not in plumb with God almighty’s Plumbline. Oh my… the Divinely tectonic charge given to The Father’s! A God Fearing Father is priceless! Studies have shown that our Father’s actions have profound affects on every aspect in our lives. “Daddy Issues” is a recognizable term in our society today. However, “The righteous Man who walks in integrity & lives life in accord with Godly beliefs, how blessed (happy and spiritually secure) are his children who have his example to follow.” Proverbs 20:7 Amplified. A Righteous Man who fears The Lord who has an intimate relationship with The Lord has Dunamis power on the inside of him. He has the empowerment of Holy Spirit to live his life and be pleasing to The Lord. This Father who truly is all in with The Lord Jesus, and yielding to Jesus to be his Master, Savior, & Lord will rely on Holy Spirit to help him to be a Father that models THE HEAVENLY FATHER. This Father takes his life seriously & knows that he will give an account one day to THE FATHER. A God fearing Father understands that his children are a gift from God. (Psalm 127:3). He has understanding that he is to steward these gifts wisely for THE LORD. This weighty assignment of Divine origin is deserving of alacrity in gratitude that is demonstrated by careful and wise stewarding truly representing THE FATHER. The role of these earthly human fathers is no little assignment. It is indeed weighty. A father that calls upon The Name of The Lord to lead his family is the wisest of men. A father who yields upon Holy Spirit to empower him to speak truth into his children that he has been entrusted with has great gain. A father that has The FATHER”S HEART of sacrifice so that his children can be protected and provided for is invaluable. A Father that teaches by his life being a living epistle that is devoted to THE LORD JESUS, and models a Disciples Life style to his children is costly. A father that listens, prays with his family, and is present is priceless. A father that admits his wrongs and walks in humility and mercy and forgiveness is powerful. FATHER’S, ARISE!! TAKE YOUR POSITIONS, BEING EMPOWERED BY THE FATHER!! We know that there are no perfect earthly Father’s, but there is HELP from on high to assist, to help, to empower, to aim toward that PERFECT MODEL. We are called to pray for all those in authority. This is one sure way we can assist our Father’s, as stated repeatedly, their assignment is very weighty. Listed are a few pointers for prayer...Pray that our Father’s be God-fearing & recognize that they are accountable to HIM for each decision & act. (Proverbs 9:10.) That they be granted wisdom, knowledge, & understanding. (James 1:5). That if unsaved, they be drawn to a saving encounter with Christ, if born-again, that they be strengthened & encouraged in their faith. (1 Timothy2:4, Ephesians 1:17-23). That they recognize their own inadequacy, & pray and seek the will of God. (Proverbs3:5-8, Luke11:9-13).That they be convicted of sin, transgression, & iniquity. (Psalm 51:17, John 8:9). That they heed their conscience, confess their sins, & repent.( Proverbs 28:13, James 4:8). That they read The Bible, study, & attend prayer meetings and Bible Studies. ( Psalm119:11, Colossians 3:2). That they value & regard The Ten Commandments & The teachings of Christ. (Psalm19:7-11, John 8:31-32). That they respect and honor their own Parents if living. (Ephesians 6:2-3). That they respect authority & practice accountability. (Romans 13:1-7). That they be given godly counsel & God-fearing advisors. (Proverbs24:6). That they be honest & faithful to their spouses & children. (Malachi 2:15-16). That they be practicing members of local congregations. (Hebrews10:25). That they desire purity, avoid debauchery, pornography, perversion & drunkenness.(1 Corin.6:9-20, Titus 2:12). That they be timely, reliable & dependable. (Matthew 21;28-31). That they be honest in financial, tax, & ethical matters. (1 Corin.6:10, 1 Timothy 6:6-10). That they seek pastoral care & counsel when needed. (Hebrews 13:7). That they seek out mature godly friendships. (Psalms 1:1-3). That they have thankful & teachable spirits. (Romans 1:21). These are but a few prayer pointers. We urge you, LET”S PRAY FOR THE FATHER’S !!
