“When The Spirit of Truth comes He will guide you into all truth,” John 16:13.

The Heart of The Lord draws people to know Truth. Without Divine Truth we have no reference of who we belong to. All through man’s history we can draw conclusion that man has failed in his attempt to be independent of God (Look at the consequences of independent choices). History and also the present bears witness that man has failed at seeking the Lords counsel for the pilgrimage of life. We cannot live independent from Him, we must be totally dependent upon Him through communion in prayer, fasting, and His Holy Word (“Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come,” Jer. 33:3). God’s Solution to right choices has always been found in Christ Jesus (The Living Word). “ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men,” John. 1:1-4.

The Lord is serious about His desire for man to know that he is loved and that he has eternity in his heart (Eccl. 3:11). Man’s response should be in humility and to consider his ways. After self-evaluation man should reach a conclusion. It should be like David in Psalm 8:3-6 , “When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers— the moon and the stars you set in place, what are people that you should think about them, mere mortals that you should care for them? Yet you made them only a little lower than God and crowned them with glory and honor. You gave them charge of everything you made, putting all things under their authority.” David was a man after God’s heart. We can see from David's perspective he had revelation of mans high order in which he was to conduct himself on earth. King David knew that he was a man who was given authority by God. He knew that his promotion from a shepherd boy to a king was because of encountering God in worship. His path from obscurity to notoriety took place out of David’s heart crying out to God. A secret place of worship was established between him and the Shepherd of his soul. It was the Spirit of God that attracted David into a place of getting alone with The LORD. It was in these quite times with the Lord that he expressed his relationship with his God by writing about it in the Psalms. The Holy Spirit would lead him into the secret place where The Anointing transformed him into a champion for God. We read all about David’s exploits in the Word of God. But David’s life story is about an invitation for us to encounter The Heavenly Father’s Heart. .

Life is a matter of One choice, but there are other choices that are demonically inspired. The LORD in His love for humanity gave us a free will to choose. It would be out of character for God to create a being as a robot with no ability to make choices. In our design the Creator gave us a spirit. “The spirit of a man is the lamp of the Lord, Searching all the inner depths of his heart” (Prov. 20:27). With our spirit -man we can communicate and worship God who is Spirit. “God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth" John 4:24). In this wonderful design we can be lit as a lamp for the LORD. This happens when we are born again (Jn. 3:3). It is an atrocity for people who have God’s copyright (Gen. 1:26) on their lives to be slaves to satan (the god of this world). In 2 Corinthians 4:4 the Apostle Paul states that peoples minds have been blinded. “Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.”

In satan’s scheme to destroy man he simply deceives man into being carnal instead of spiritual. “For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity (hostile) against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God,” Rom. 8:5-8. The world we live in is under the control of a demonic influence. The influence is to attract the carnal mind to love the sensual things of this world. Our body is comprised of five senses (hearing, seeing, touching, smelling & tasting). The devil knows this and exploits it. After all he is the god of this world (2Cor. 4:4). In his seductive world an economy for sin is available for the sensual flesh. In this economy sin pays wages, death! (The wages of sin is death, Romans 6:23).

The LORD is gracious! The Apostle Paul writes in Romans 5:20b, “But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more!” The Lord is saying “My Grace is not a license to sin, but more powerful than temptation to sin. My Grace empowers for righteousness to abound. Any heart that surrenders to its influence becomes empowered to live a Righteous and Holy life.” The Holy Spirit is “The Divine Influence” in a believer that demonstrates The Fathers Love for us. So whatever temptations come our way, we have a Reference to turn to for the right choice. The Holy Spirit is, The Spirit of Truth. “When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all the truth, for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak, and He will declare to you the things that are to come. He will glorify me, for He will take what is mine and declare it to you. All that the Father has is mine; therefore I said that He will take what is mine and declare it to you.” (John 16:13-15)
