A Guide to Live Victorious In A Crazy World

“When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all “The Truth,” for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak, and He will declare to you the things that are to come,” Jn 16:13.

You do not have to be a great Theologian to discern the days we are currently in are the days The Apostle Paul described in his letter to Timothy. “But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people,” 2Timothy 3:1-5. These days are upon us and we are certainly affected by this crazy world, but not defeated in surrender to hopelessness.

The ministry that Debbie and I have the privileged of overseeing is a challenge. We are not qualified by scholarly degrees with certificates that the world demands we have to fix psychological dis-orders. No, our weapons are spiritual and have Divine Power to correct and heal a dysfunctional life (2Cor. 10:3-5). We are convinced that our righteousness is a Gift from God. It is Grace, which empowers and enables us to live a righteous, victorious life (Eph. 2:1-9). Jesus is the Captain of our Salvation (Heb. 2:10) and He has clothed us in righteousness by His Blood, so we can confront demonic powers (Col. 2:15). Our faith in Jesus makes us battle ready, dressed in The Armor of God (Eph. 6:10-18).

Jesus saved us so we would become “His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them,” Ephesians 2:10. When we receive Jesus as LORD, He begins the process to mold us into a vessel, in order to contain His Glory. Our bodies become a home for The Holy Spirit to impact helpless people to turn them from darkness to light (Acts 26:18). We should be no stranger when it comes to knowing His voice. He is our Good Shepherd (John 10:1-18). We should be prepared for trials, tribulations and persecutions, knowing that He is with us in the midst of the fiery furnace and we will not bow to mediocrity, coward-ness or surrender. “If God be for us who can stand against us” (Rom. 8:31).

The Bible says in 1Timothy 4:1, in the last days people will depart from the faith that is in Jesus Christ. How does this happen? I believe it is thru deception, due to no intimacy with The Holy Spirit. He is the “Divine Guide” sent to Shepherd us into eternity (Jn. 16:7-15). Deception takes place when we are attracted to the world and not committed to Jesus being Lord over our lives. If you read Colossians 2:6-8 you will see how satan uses his deception to deceive with the vain philosophies of men. “Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.” These basic principles here are the lies from the god of this world (2Cor. 4:4). The devil seduces his victims in loving the world and all of its pleasures. He convinces the ignorant of their need for independence. His lie is, eat, drink and be merry now, for someday you will die. Get all you can, after all “it’s all about you, right? What ignorance! Ecclesiastes 3:11 says, that God has placed eternity in our hearts. In this beautiful Chapter, Solomon has observed that we are here to enjoy the journey of life with God providing every good and perfect gift (James 1:17). God has arranged for us an account to draw from because He has provided seed time and harvest time (Gen. 8:22). The harvest is perpetual, made possible by Jesus sowing His life as “The Divine Seed” into the ground, to produce a Kingdom Harvest of victorious sons and daughters (Jn. 12:24).

How do we live a victorious life in a crazy world? Here are some spiritual truths that have helped us to be victorious in life:

#1) Be born again (John 3:3). Jesus said, you must be born again to “see” the Kingdom of God. It is only at regeneration that the Holy Spirit takes up residence to reconcile a breach in relationship with The Heavenly Father. The Holy Spirit then brings revelation of the finished work of Jesus at the Cross to bring healing of emotional and physical ailments.

#2) Humility. Stay humble before Lord. God resist the proud but gives Grace to the humble of heart (James 4:6, Prov. 18:12).

#3) Desire The Baptism in The Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8, 2:4, 10:44-46, 1Cor.14:2, 4:14) so the Gifts of the Spirit can manifest the Kingdom of God thru you. You will find yourself so in love with Jesus in this place. You will be captivated with His presence.

#4) Pray in your Heavenly prayer language. Praying in the Holy Spirit promotes spiritual growth (1 Corinthians 14:4). It builds us up on our most holy faith (Jude 20). It allows us to draw on the infinite wisdom of God that has been deposited on the inside of us.

#5) Ask The LORD where you are to attend church. You must be in Church to be a disciple (Eph.4:11). It is here that the Pastor and his Staff will equip you for ministry by ministering The Word of God. It’s your responsibility to be a student of The Word, so you can properly divide The Word of Truth (2Tim. 2:15). It is also in this community where you can be a blessing in serving and giving financially (2Cor. 9:6-15).

#6) Walk (Gal. 5:16) and be led (Rom. 8:14) by The Spirit of God. It is here, that constant communion between you and The Holy Spirit takes place. The Holy Spirit is your Greatest Asset. He will clothe you with Power and “guide” you into living a victorious life in a crazy world.
