SHILOH MESSENGER - June 2014

No Excuses

As I prayed about this month’s newsletter and asked the Lord what is on Your Heart Lord? What do you want to say to the people who read this month’s newsletter? I believe He said to me, “No excuses.” For what Lord? “In being whole,” He responded. So I looked for the definition of whole. The word in Webster's  Dictionary is defined, “complete or full: not lacking or leaving anything out, free of wound or injury: unhurt: recovered from a wound or injury: being healed of an ancient evil.” This last part of this definition (being healed of an ancient evil) peaked my interest. Do you know what that ancient evil is? It is the deception by the devil in the garden. It is the sin of rebellion. It separated us from God, who is our “Life Source.” That is what brought humanities dysfunction and the need for healing.

We do not have to look far to see a dysfunctional world. Our Nation in particular is full of people who are wounded emotionally and blinded by the “god of this age” (2 Cor. 4:4). We do live in a sick world and most don’t even see themselves as sick. If all could see  thru the lens of the Holy Spirit our full potential in Christ, we could easily assess that we are far from being whole. Think about what God did when He created us, He made us in His image and likeness and then gave us authority to steward the earth (Gen. 1:26-28). Also in Psalms 8:4-6, the Word of God says, “That God crowned man with glory and honor and placed him over the works of His hand.” So the original design for us was to function with excellence and creativity with ruling & reigning and stewarding the Earth, right? Well we know that is not being manifested. So God sent His Son to die a terrible death on a cross to restore man. The Heavenly Father would restore relationship with man and would defeat satan thru Christ Jesus becoming the Lamb of God. Christ Jesus died in our place, “that we might become the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus” (2 Cor. 5:21). Jesus defeated the devil by triumphing over him by the works of the cross (Col. 2:15). He then gave all authority to His Church to display to all (people & demonic principalities) that Jesus Christ is Lord! (Phil. 2:9-11, Eph. 3:10, Col. 1:15-22).

As an active (on going) recipient of being made whole I can testify that the Lord indeed makes one “whole.” I have been delivered and set free from 23 years of an addictive behavior. There are not enough words to express my gratitude for what the Lord has done to set me free. I am not just an a observer of what Christ has done, I’m a recipient of what He had finished at Calvary. “He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By his wounds you are healed,” 1 Peter 2:24. As I  observe human behavior, based on the fact of relative circumstances being set free from, I get angry and upset. We can be angry and not sin (Eph. 4:26). I totally agree with The Lord and His jealous Heart for humanity to love Him, because of the potential in the grand design. I never believed it was in me to be a leader of men. I never saw the potential. I could not see because of the blindness of my mind. How can one be blind in their minds anyway? Proverbs 23:7 says, “As a man thinks in his heart so is he.” What we think about ourselves, is who we are.

When we read 2 Corinthians 4:4 we can understand with a spiritual mind what the Holy Sprit is revealing thru the Apostle Paul: “Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God. “ The God that loves us always reveals the Truth about are captivity and reveals the schemes of our captor, so we can be free. The word of God says in 2 Corinthians 2:11, “do not be ignorant to schemes of the devil.” No one should be ignorant to the psychological warfare that happens in believers and non-believers. With this great Salvation is the Power to live free and the ability to navigate thru the deception of our enemy the devil. The Third Person of the Trinity lives in each believer in Christ Jesus. We need to recognize our inability to do anything supernatural to enforce God’s Authority upon a vanquished foe (devil) without submitting ourselves to the Holy Spirits Authority. He is the Divine Agent that reveals our identity in Christ, our grounds of authority, and the desire to be used to bring freedom to every human being.

This is where the Church comes in. We must unite in unity. A house divided will be divided. We must as leaders promote unity in the Body of Christ. The Word of God says, “that the world will know us for the love that we have for one another” (Jn. 13:35). We must stop the in house quarreling and jealousies. Let us repent and ask God to gives us strategy for restoration. The world that we live in needs to see a unified Church manifesting love for one another and exercising its authority over evil. I ask you aren't you ashamed of the demise of the prophetic voice of the Church? We can look, see and hear the groans of a Nation in need for the warrior bride of Christ to rise up and love the sinner. The sinner will then be reconciled to God to be made whole. We need to watch & pray so we will be alert, so when the Master returns for His investment, we will be rewarded for the increase of the soul harvest (Matt. 25:13-46). In these last days the Church has an assignment, and that assignment is to be the Body of Christ. He is the Head we are the Body in which the Holy Spirit dwells in to produce spiritual activity to bring a wounded world to Christ to be made whole. “ No Excuses says the Lord, return to Me and  I will heal your wayward heart”(Jer. 3:22). Yes Lord we will return, for you have the Word’s of Life (Jn. 6:68).
