You are probably asking yourself, what is this man writing about with a title such as “Exousia”? Well, glad it peaked your interest. I believe that it is God’s desire for us to be informed about His heavenly Gift that He gave to mankind. The word “Exousia” is Greek and is defined as power & much more (from Strong's Concordance (exesti) (in the sense of ability); privilege, i.e. (subject) force, capacity, competency, freedom, or (object) mastery (concrete magistrate, superhuman, potentate, token of control), delegated influence :- authority, jurisdiction, liberty, power, right, strength). This is why a Wonderful God would not ask His son’s & daughters to go (Matt. 28:19) out in a dangerous world without supernatural sustenance. He has given everything we need to represent Him well in a hostile environment. All through the Word of God we are informed of the “power” that is a gift from God & carried out by the “Holy Spirit”. Jesus informed His disciples of this power in Luke 10:19-20; “behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven." What a delight to know that we are partakers of God’s Divine Flow that disrupts, destroys & places the enemy in subjection to our position in Christ (Col.2:6,10-15). This position was given to us in order to propagate the “Glorious Gospel”. We know that in us (of ourselves) nothing good dwells (Rom.7:18). It is only flesh & flesh represents mans fallen nature. We must be born again & baptized with Holy Fire to carry out this “Good News” of liberation from sin & wrong thinking. Just think about the woman at the well in John chapter 4. She was living a life that fell way short of God’s original plan for her life. She was into her fifth relationship with another man & was “looking for love in all the wrong places”. Jesus was strategically there to give her “Living Water”. This “Water” represents the Holy Spirit & His ministry. Our LORD identified her problem & presented the “Fix” to her inability to live a productive & joyful life. She was lacking the spiritual drink that would satisfy her desire to be loved & accepted. Jesus through His love & devotion to hurting people made this “Exousia” accessible by simply receiving Him as LORD & Savior. All in the Word of God are the exploits of people just like you & me who where used as vessels for the Divine display of God’s power. Most where just common folk, but made peculiar by encountering Power from on high. The Savior of the world is still at work building spiritual houses for His purpose. The word of God says in 1 Peter 2:4-5, “Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious, you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ”. Also in Ephesians 2:10, “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them”. Just think of the injustice we incur upon ourselves because we do not allow the LORD His rightful place in our lives. We have to know that we are incomplete & falling way short of God’s original design for us to rule & reign in life. This workmanship is one of Divine design in order to represent God in love, power & a sound mind (Rom. 10:17). Would you agree there are countless people out there operating under a world system that robs them of the Zoë (God life) life that they where created to enjoy through God’s redemption plan? What a shame. I have shared with you many times of my life without God. It was only when I received the “Exousia” that my spirit man was set ablaze & I became fruitful & productive in life. I truly recognize as I decrease in my “self” daily, He increases in my life. The Holy Spirit will never be in competition with my flesh nature. My flesh nature must die (crucified with Christ; Gal.2:20). It is only when I experience this crucifixion of the old man will the divine transformation into a son of God take place. It is truly His workmanship, manifested & constructed by the Spirit of God. So let us examine ourselves in the Light of God’s Word (Eph.5:13). For in this hour that we live in, we need the “Exousia” of God like never before. This Heavenly Power will cause you to be excited about life & empower you to “be strong & carry out great exploits” (Daniel 11:32b) for the Kingdom of God.
